Successful repowering of m/s Vanitas
At Sandfirden Technics, we are proud of the recent completion of a comprehensive repowering project on board m/s Vanitas. Commissioned by skipper Anton de Vries, we have carried out a complete engine replacement and power system upgrade, bringing the vessel back up to the requirements of modern and sustainable shipping.
Main Engine Upgrade: The old Scania DI-16 042M main engine made way for a modern and efficient Scania DC16 317A Stage V. This new engine meets the most stringent emission standards and guarantees reliable and powerful propulsion.
Renewed Thruster Engine: For optimal maneuverability, the thruster engine has been renewed with the new AGCO Power 74LFEN Stage V with 221kW of power.
Silent Power Supply: In addition, two generator sets in soundproof enclosure were supplied by De Regt Aggregaten. These provide a silent and reliable power supply on board, increasing crew comfort and operational efficiency.
