The combined heat and power system (CHP) converts gas into both electricity and heat. By recovering heat from both engine cooling water and exhaust gas flow, we can achieve an overall system efficiency of more than 90%. This makes our cogeneration units ideally suited for companies that want to make their energy supplies more sustainable as well as more independent from the electricity grid.
In addition to our reliable CHP solutions, we also offer smart battery storage systems. These store excess energy and are made available when demand peaks or the grid becomes overloaded. Combining our CHP with battery storage creates a hybrid energy system that provides maximum flexibility, higher efficiency and better matching to grid congestion or autonomous operation (islanding).
A Sandfirden CHP equipped with an AGCO Power or Scania engine not only achieves a high electrical efficiency of up to 42.5%. But also offers the convenience of remote access to the system via PC, laptop or smartphone. All units are available in frame or container versions. Natural gas, biogas or other special gases can be used.
